Dorothy passed away at age 49 after nine months of hoping to beat pancreatic cancer by way of chemotherapy and other treatments of the 1970’s era. She died in June 1971 and is buried at Pine Crest Cemetery on Dauphin Island Parkway.
Like all mothers, as the kids grow up, begin to think of the days when the grandkids will come to visit. She surely dreamed of the day you would come to their new house in the country, learn about cows and gardens, and play in the oak tree.
